This will force you to use either software-only decoding and encoding or only the Intel IGP for decoding (you cannot use QuickSync hardware encoding with a discrete GPU installed since Adobe does not currently support simultaneous QuickSync and NVENC encoding, and the mere presence of an Nvidia GPU driver will automatically force NVENC without any provision at all whatsoever to change it).įinally, the MX230 barely has enough VRAM to even run Premiere Pro properly. Next, that MX230 does not have a hardware H.264 or HEVC decoder or encoder at all. This eats up a lot of system RAM - to the point where you may have less than 2 GB of RAM available to run any programs whenever the IGP is used for H.264 or HEVC decoding or encoding. You see, most if not all Intel CPU-based laptops have their integrated Intel HD Graphics permanently enabled, with absolutely no way at all to disable it. Your laptop has too little RAM to run Premiere Pro properly. Two problems (not counting your disk storage):
